CROSSCOAT

A fast, colourful 4v4 paint shooter. Cover the town in your team’s colour, outplay the other side, and make a mess doing it.

Drop into sunny market squares, neon streets after dark, a seaside town and a motor-racing circuit. Matches are short, loud and chaotic: two to four minutes of sliding, vaulting, launch pads and supply drops, and a final 30-second Showdown where everything speeds up.

Modes

• Takeover: paint the most ground before the timer runs out.
• Wildcard: Takeover with a twist. Every 30 seconds everyone rolls a new random effect, from Moon Boots and Vampire to Shaky Hands.
• Specialists: pick one of 13 roles, each with its own ability and ultimate. Call down a Meteor, ride a Paint Tornado, open a Black Hole or summon a Paint Dragon.
• Zone Control: capture and hold three zones. First to 240 points wins.
• Capture the Can: steal the rival paint can and carry it home.
• Payload: escort the paint tanker, or stop it reaching the end.
• Horde (co-op): you and three bots against ten waves of Smudges, living tar creatures that crawl out of the ground.

Harbor Village · Market Quarter · Terrace Village · Foundry Old Town · Saltwater Docks · Sunstone Bazaar · Neon Downtown · Watercolour Waves · Glasshouse Gardens · Grand Prix Raceway. Each can be played by day, at dusk or at night.

Mid-match chaos

Sirens, supply drops (sometimes booby-trapped), Paint Frenzy, low-gravity Moon Jump, Turbo Time and Golden Target bounties. Get three eliminations in a row and you catch fire with a bounty on your head.

Make it yours

Eight agents to play as, plus outfits, hats, eyewear, packs, gadgets and team colours. Earn coins and XP every match and unlock new weapons as you level up, including the Decorator’s Roller.

Accessibility

Colour-blind modes for red-green and blue-yellow, and an option to stripe the rival team’s paint so it’s readable without colour at all. Tips for new players can be switched on or off.
